3. Inspect for cracks or wear—if needed, we’ll let you know when it’s time to replace.

DE Filters: The Cleaning Process

DE filters use a grid system coated with fine powder (diatomaceous earth) to trap particles as small as 3–5 microns. Twice a year, we:

1. Disassemble the filter tank and remove all grids.

2. Rinse each grid to clear out dirt, oils, and old DE powder.

3. Reassemble the filter and add fresh DE powder to recharge it.

4. Check grids for damage—only replace if necessary.
